Is state street still blocked off? Or can you drive through it now I stopped there on my way to SF in early 2020 It was closed off I took a guess and figured it was the pandemic but i dont know

I grew up in Orange County, about 14 miles inland from Newport Beach. We went to Newport Beach a few blocks north of the Newport pier most often, then Corona Del Mar the second most often. Corona Del Mar had lots of fire pits, so that's where we would go if we wanted to go to the beach at night, but we also went there in the daytime. There was a place called Little Corona that we liked to go to now and then, located just south of Corona Del Mar. We often camped at San Clemente State Beach, and we would take a walk along the shore on the sand down south to Richard Nixon's house. I went to Huntington Beach a few times, but really wasn't that familiar with it. I liked Newport Beach better, because it had a boardwalk and beach houses right along the boardwalk. Huntington Beach, as I remember, had a parking lot and then like a 3 foot tall brick wall, and then the sand on the other side of it the wall.

I remember being told by the Huntington Beach police in the 90’s that “you guys should make your way out of here by sundown” I guess we had “Crenshaw” written all over us. SMH I never been back since.

No Seal Beach mention? Calafia beach? Aliso? Doheny? but no Seal Beach?

"The Wedge". Surprised it's still there considering I swallowed most of it.. Grew up there from 1957. Amazing how it looks pretty much the same. We were on the beach more time than anywhere else. I hope we get to do it over again like it was. Dude.

I spent most of my 20s and half my 30s living there and enjoying life! I worked in Irvine. On Friday I'd park my car and not touch it again until Monday morning, spent my whole weekend on my bike, surfing, being wild at the local bars, and chasing pretty girls! hahaa. I miss it. Too bad normal people can't afford to live there anymore. When I was there if you had a decent white-collar office job you could have a good life in newport, today you gotta' be a millionaire to scrape by. I live 100% abroad these days, exploring Spain and south america, more or less searching for my next Newport Beach! 🙂

If the video looks blurry or has low resolution, make sure to click on the settings cog and set resolution to the highest possible. UA-cam will play it at a lower resolution automatically because it is 8k and its plays smoother at a lower quality.

Certainly a different experience from the normal camera, thank you for sharing. My only criticism is that the focus isn't as sharp so it's difficult to tell which unit we're watching. It will be absolutely fabulous when the focus catches up with the rest of the technology 😊

The primary reason it doesn't meet the mileage estimates is one of the reasons you like it, the speed. Efficiency goes out the window once you start driving agressively by speeding, launching off starts,etc. It's too bad because, as mentioned, it is one of the fun things about the car. people have to realize the performance (speed) is equal to sports cars like astin martin, bmw m6, Audi R8, etc. And you don't expect great mileage from sports cars at this level.

Does this property have non-motorized sports? We went to the Hyatt Punta Cana and they had kayak's, paddleboards and Hobbie Cats.
